Job summary

Loaves & Fishes of the Fox Valley is seeking a dynamic Non-profit Operations Coordinator to lead and inspire volunteer shifts during our free, nutritious evening meals. You will train, supervise, and support volunteers across shifts, ensuring a welcoming, organized environment for guests and staff alike.

The role supports daily meal operations, reports to the Executive Director, and offers a part-time schedule with on-site hours. Pay is $21 per hour with paid holidays as a nonprofit employer.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to remain calm in busy environments.
• Excellent organizational abilities and attention to detail.
• Experience with computers, email, data entry, MS Office, and guest check-in systems.
• Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the 3 pm and 5 pm volunteer shifts; assist with 1:30 pm kitchen volunteers.
• Welcome volunteers and assign duties based on program needs; provide guidance.
• Ensure volunteer stations are stocked with supplies for 3 pm and 5 pm shifts.
• Track attendance and report absences to the Program Manager; foster a positive volunteer experience.
• Receive in-kind donations; stock and organize them.
• Print and stock community resource brochures for the information table.
• Assist with holiday meal planning and guest activities.
• Close and lock up after meal service.
• Support guest check-in, meal card lookups, or printing as needed during the 5 pm shift.
