PetVet Care Centers' Mamaroneck Veterinary Hospital is seeking a Part-Time Veterinary Receptionist (Care Coordinator) to join our team in Mamaroneck, New York. The role focuses on administrative and customer service tasks, scheduling, and supporting both clients and pets in a fast-paced hospital setting.

Ideal candidates have at least 1 year of veterinary experience, knowledge of vaccines and meds, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of veterinary medicine experience, including general practice, emergency, or shelter medicine.
• Minimum of 1 year of veterinary reception experience in a veterinary hospital or clinical setting.
• Strong knowledge of veterinary medicine, including vaccines and vaccination protocols, veterinary pharmaceuticals, and diagnostic terminology.
• Ability to triage patients over the phone and determine urgency and next steps.
• Ability to read, write, and transcribe medical notes and communicate medical information effectively.
• Minimum of an Associate's degree from an accredited college or university.

Responsabilités

• Provides excellent customer service in-person, over the phone, and in high-stress situations.
• Manages lobby flow, addresses concerns, calms distressed owners, and schedules appointments.
• Handles basic medical emergencies for pets and owners, ensuring safety and well-being.
• Assists with medication pickups, inquiries, and provides information about services and products.
• Inputs and manages data in practice management software, including billing and accounts.
• Assists with retail sales, weighing pets, processing faxes, and maintaining records.
• Reconciles cash drawer and performs end-of-day duties for accurate financial transactions.
