PetVet Care Centers' Mamaroneck Veterinary Hospital is seeking a Part-Time Veterinary Receptionist (Care Coordinator) to join our team, delivering friendly, efficient client service and accurate data entry in a busy practice. The role supports veterinarians and staff, handling appointments, triage calls, and basic medical information.

A minimum 1 year of veterinary reception experience and an Associate's degree are preferred; bilingual is a plus.

Formación

• Applicants must be 18 years of age or older.
• Minimum of 1 year of veterinary medicine experience, including experience in general practice, emergency medicine, or shelter medicine (human medical experience not considered)
• Minimum of 1 year of veterinary reception experience in a veterinary hospital or clinical setting.
• Strong knowledge of veterinary medicine, including vaccines and vaccination protocols, veterinary pharmaceuticals and common medications, diagnostic procedures and terminology
• Ability to triage patients over the phone and determine the appropriate level of urgency and next steps.
• Ability to read, write, and transcribe medical notes and communicate medical information effectively.

Responsabilidades

• Provides excellent customer service in-person, over the phone, and during high-stress situations.
• Manages lobby flow, addresses concerns, calms distressed owners, and schedules appointments.
• Handles basic medical emergencies for pets and owners, ensuring safety and well-being.
• Assists with medication pickups, inquiries, and provides information about services and products.
• Inputs and manages data in practice management software, including billing and accounts.
• Assists with retail sales, weighing pets, processing faxes, and maintaining records.
• Reconciles cash drawer and performs end-of-day duties for accurate financial transactions.

Educación

Associate's degree from an accredited college or university
