Job summary

Axess Family Services is seeking a Cook for Veterans Services, Valor Home Summit in Akron, Ohio. This shift role is less than 20 hours per week, with schedule determined case by case and Monday–Friday plus occasional weekends.

You will work in a busy kitchen delivering nutritious meals to up to 30 veterans in the therapeutic community. The ideal candidate will have nutrition experience, be enthusiastic and reliable, hold a ServSafe certificate, and meet Ohio driving and background checks as

Qualifications

• Enthusiastic, creative, and qualified to provide good quality meals.
• Passionate about food, reliable, and hardworking.
• Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
• Must have ServSafe Certification.
• Valid Ohio Driver’s License and ability to meet driving insurability.
• Must pass background check.

Responsibilities

• Plan menu and prepare food.
• Orders and mirrors supplies to ensure efficient operation.
• Complies with agency policies and procedures, COA regulations, federal and state requirements, and educational/certification/registry requirements.
• Other duties as assigned.
