Job summary

Mount Carmel, a member of Trinity Health, is seeking a Cardiovascular Sonographer in a casual part-time role. You will perform echocardiography and vascular studies, report preliminary findings, and ensure patient comfort while documenting results accurately.

Requirements include high school diploma with preferred AS/BS in diagnostic sonography, ARDMS/CCI credentials, or registry eligibility. BLS is required; previous cardiovascular imaging experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• High School education required; associate or bachelor’s in diagnostic medical sonography preferred.
• ARRT radiologic technologist registration or registry eligibility.
• ARDMS or CCI credentials with specific vascular/cardiac specialization or board-eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Perform echocardiography and vascular diagnostic testing per guidelines.
• Report preliminary findings for physician interpretation.
• Explain procedures to patients and ensure comfort.
• Enter data accurately into diagnostic systems and verify reports.
• Collaborate with team and other departments to optimize patient care.
• Operate and troubleshoot relevant testing equipment.
