Job summary

Mount Carmel Health System is seeking a Casual part-time Cardiovascular Sonographer to perform Echocardiography and/or Vascular testing. Reports preliminary findings for physician interpretation and adheres to Accreditation Guidelines in a patient-centered care environment.

The role involves patient communication, accurate documentation, and collaboration across departments, with opportunities for equipment evaluation and professional development.

Qualifications

• High School Education Required
• Associates or Bachelor’s degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography preferred

Responsibilities

• Patient Care: Performs all studies according to policy and procedures and standards established by Accreditation body.
• Documentation: Obtains pertinent health history and enters accurate data in diagnostic testing equipment and documentation system.
• Collaboration/Communication: Communicates pertinent patient data to appropriate team members and collaborates with other departments.
• Equipment Resource Management: Knowledgeable of all equipment pertinent to testing and participates in evaluation of new equipment.
