Job summary

Mount Carmel Health System in Dublin, OH is seeking a Casual Vascular/Echo Tech to cover open shifts and PTO. The Cardiovascular Sonographer will perform Echocardiography and/or Vascular testing, report preliminary findings, and follow accreditation guidelines.

Minimum qualifications include ARDMS RVT or RDCS or CCI RCS/RVS; BLS; an Associates or Bachelors in Diagnostic Medical Sonography preferred; and at least 1 year of cardiovascular imaging experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Registered by the ARDMS (American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonographers) as RVT or RDCS or by CCI as RCS/RVS
• BLS certification required
• Associates or Bachelors degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography preferred
• Minimum one year experience in cardiovascular imaging preferred

Responsibilities

• Patient Care: Performs all studies according to policy and procedures and standards established by Accreditation body. Abnormal pathology reported appropriately. Explains procedures to patients, answers patient's questions. Ensures comfort of patient. Assists with patient transport as needed.
• Documentation: Obtains pertinent health history. Enters accurate and complete data in diagnostic testing equipment and documentation system. Ensures accuracy of reports prior to dispatch.
• Collaboration/Communication: Communicates pertinent patient data to appropriate team members. Collaborates with other departments to provide optimum patient care.
• Equipment Resource Management: Knowledgeable of all equipment pertinent to specific area of testing. Able to perform basic troubleshooting. Participates in evaluation of new equipment.
• Initiative: Responsible for personal professional development. Maintains registry status or actively pursues registry. Responsible for completion of annual competencies. Participates in accreditation/re-accreditation process.
