Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.
• Familiar with traffic laws and safety regulations.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work with diverse student groups; compassionate, nonjudgmental.
• Knowledge of the McKinney‑Vento Act is a plus.
• Previous school bus/van driver experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Safely transport McKinney‑Vento students to and from homes and schools.
• Ensure van safety, perform routine vehicle checks and maintenance.
• Plan efficient routes aligned with school schedules.
• Provide mobility support to students as needed.
• Maintain clear communication with transportation office and staff.
• Keep accurate records of mileage, attendance, and incidents.
