Job summary

Boys & Girls Clubs of Delaware is seeking a part-time van driver to transport members to and from school, everyday on a set route. The role requires maintaining a safe driving record, performing pre-trip inspections, and assisting with snack service and light clerical duties.

Flexibility in scheduling and familiarity with state regulations are important, as is the ability to work well with children in a licensed childcare setting.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license with 3–5 points; CDL preferred.
• Ability to pass FBI and state background checks as required.
• Experience transporting children and/or working in childcare is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate a 10-passenger van on schedule and designated routes.
• Maintain safe driving record and vehicle safety inspections daily.
• Assist with snacks and minor clerical duties during dismissal.
• Keep vehicle logs and required paperwork up to date.
• Adhere to all regulations and report safety hazards to management.
• Support route improvements and follow program policies.
