Job summary

Boys & Girls Clubs of Delaware is seeking a part-time van driver to transport club members to and from school. Under the direction of the Program Director, you will operate the van on a fixed route and help with after-school snacks and related clerical duties.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, a valid driver's license with a clean record, ability to pass background checks, and flexibility in hours. Experience with children and licensed childcare is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Valid driver’s license with 3–5 points; CDL preferred.
• Ability to pass FBI, Delaware background checks, and child abuse registries.
• Ability to operate a 10-passenger van.
• Flexible hours and schedule.
• Experience transporting children and working in licensed childcare preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate van on schedule along designated routes.
• Maintain a safe driving record.
• Assist with snack service and related clerical duties.
• Maintain vehicle tracking logs daily.
• Report emergencies and safety hazards to management.
• Inspect vehicle before and after trips.
• Suggest safety/routing improvements to the director.
• Keep van logs and related paperwork up to date.
