Job summary

Columbia Bank Northeast is seeking a Universal Banker in New Jersey to provide a full range of banking services to retail customers. The role includes processing transactions, opening accounts, advising on financial needs, cross-selling products, and supporting end-of-day branch procedures.

The position requires strong communication skills, 1–2 years of retail or customer service experience, and a high school diploma (Bachelor’s preferred). Training is provided. Weekend work may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required or a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business, or Finance preferred.
• 1–2 years of retail or customer service experience required.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills required.

Responsibilities

• Process all banking transactions through online terminals.
• Open new deposit and checking accounts and explain products to customers.
• Discuss financial needs and cross-sell bank products and services.
• Assist with branch end-of-day procedures and maintain accurate records.
• Refer customers to Wealth Management and Mortgage/Title departments as appropriate.
