Job summary

Columbia Bank is seeking a Part-Time Universal Banker I in Westfield, NJ to provide a full range of banking services to retail customers. You will handle deposits, withdrawals, and product consults while building customer relationships and meeting branch goals.

The role requires 1-2 years of retail or customer service experience, a high school diploma or a related degree, and bilingual Spanish is a plus. Training and benefits are provided, with 25 hours/week scheduling including Saturdays.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required or a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business, or Finance is preferred.
• 1-2 years of retail or customer service experience required.
• Knowledge of financial products preferred.
• Interpersonal, time management, organizational and PC skills a must.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills required.
• Ability to work weekends as needed or scheduled.
• Bilingual in Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

• Processes all banking transactions including deposits, withdrawals, transfers, and payments.
• Opens new deposit and checking accounts and explains products to customers.
• Discusses personal financial needs and cross-sells Bank products and services.
• Prepares daily proof sheet and assists with end-of-day closing procedures.
• Maintains accurate customer and account records and supports branch operations.
• Makes referrals to Wealth Management and other departments as appropriate.
