Job summary

Columbia Bank is seeking a part-time Universal Banker I in Westfield, NJ to provide a full range of banking services to retail customers, including both transactional and non-transactional processes. The role emphasizes personal service while supporting branch goals.

Responsibilities include handling deposits, withdrawals, account openings, cross-selling products, and assisting customers with online banking. Weekend availability may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or BA in Accounting/Business/Finance preferred.
• 1–2 years of retail or customer service experience.
• Knowledge of financial products preferred.
• Interpersonal, time management, organizational and PC skills are required.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills required.
• Ability to work weekends as needed.

Responsibilities

• Processes deposits, withdrawals, transfers, checks, money orders, and other transactions via on-line terminals.
• Opens new deposit and checking accounts and explains products; assists with filing and documentation.
• Cross-sells bank products and services and assists customers with online banking.
• Maintains accurate customer and account records and supports branch closing procedures.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
