Endeavor Health is seeking a Unit Secretary in Arlington Heights for a part-time role. The position supports the care team by entering patient treatments and charges, coordinating activities and services, and communicating with physicians, patients, and families.

This role requires a high school diploma or GED, with at least one year of data entry experience and proficiency in PC applications. Training will cover hospital scheduling and medical terminology as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Minimum one-year data or order entry experience preferred.
• Computer literacy and experience with PC applications.
• Experience in a healthcare setting and knowledge of medical terminology preferred.

Responsibilities

• Enter department-specific patient treatments/charges to healthcare records.
• Assist the care team in coordinating patient activities and services.
• Coordinate communication between care team, physicians, patients and families.
• May coordinate and schedule department-specific patient procedures in the hospital scheduling system.
