McLaren Health Care is seeking a part-time Administrative Assistant to support nursing unit operations during the 7:00pm–7:30am shift. You will greet visitors, coordinate with nurses, perform data entry, scheduling, and file management while ensuring HIPAA/OSHA compliance in a hospital setting.

The role emphasizes accurate data handling, communication, and coordination of department activities to support patient care delivery.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent.
One year of customer service or clerical experience unless graduate of a relevant medical training program (Medical Assistant, Unit Coordinator, Nurse Assistant/Aide, Patient Care Technician).
Preferred completion of a health unit coordinator course or 1 year of clerical experience in healthcare.
Associate degree in related field.

Responsabilités

Assist patients by responding to intercom requests and coordinating with nurses and physicians.
Greet visitors and answer inquiries; relay calls and provide directions.
Perform administrative tasks: maintain logs, schedule, type, file, fax, and order supplies.
Enter patient data and notes; process discharge, admission, and personal forms.
Ensure HIPAA/OSHA compliance and perform related duties.
Telemetry monitoring and reporting rhythm changes to the nurse; maintain monitor strips and re-certification.
