Job summary

McLaren is seeking a hospital unit receptionist who supports nursing staff and ensures patient privacy and safety. You will perform front-desk and clerical tasks on the 2 E Telemetry unit, assist with basic patient care, and help maintain a clean, safe environment for patients and families.

Under RN supervision, you will handle communications with patients, families, and staff, while supporting roundings, vital signs, and daily care activities as needed in a fast-paced, patient-centered setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Nurse Aide training or 6 months experience as Nursing Assistant or be enrolled in an Accredited Nursing program.
• BLS Certification.
• Knowledge of keyboard/computer; data entry experience.
• Medical terminology knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Perform purposeful hourly rounding (Pain, Position, Personal needs, Possessions).
• Answer calls and relay information to staff promptly.
• Assist nursing staff with patient care: beds, baths, feeding, hygiene, vital signs, intake/output, mobilization, weights, glucose testing.
