Job summary

MountainView Regional Medical Center is seeking a Unit-Based Educator to develop, implement, and evaluate clinical education and professional development within a designated unit. You will align education with organizational goals, lead orientation programs, maintain regulatory training, and serve as a clinical resource across the team.

The role focuses on enhancing competencies, evidence-based care, and patient outcomes while collaborating with department leaders and staff.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing required.
• Master's Degree in Nursing or Nursing Education preferred.
• 3-5 years of clinical nursing experience in specialty area/department required.
• 2-4 years of experience in nursing education, staff development, or a related role required.

Responsibilities

• Collaborates with staff, department leaders, and administration to assess training needs and design learner-focused educational experiences.
• Develops, implements, and evaluates unit-based orientation programs for new staff, ensuring seamless integration and adherence to best practices.
• Maintains and monitors training and certification records for unit staff, ensuring regulatory compliance.
• Serves as a resource for staff seeking guidance on clinical practices and skill development, fostering continuous improvement.
• Delivers training through classroom instruction, hands-on practice, and simulation-based learning to enhance clinical competencies.
• Evaluates educational interventions through feedback and assessments, adjusting programs to achieve outcomes.
• Stays informed about advancements in healthcare and unit-specific practices, integrating knowledge into programs.
• Assists with annual training planning and execution to meet competency and compliance requirements.
• Participates in meetings representing the unit’s educational needs and priorities.
• Supports organizational initiatives by aligning education with strategic goals.
• Performs other duties as assigned and complies with policies and standards.
