Job summary

Mountain View Hospital in Idaho Falls seeks a Postpartum Educator/RN to join our team. This role collaborates with educators and leaders to plan, implement, and evaluate postpartum educational activities, while overseeing orientation and professional development for nursing staff.

The educator acts as facilitator, mentor, consultant and change agent to advance clinical practice and education across the unit, with a focus on nursing and clinical aspects.

Qualifications

• Diploma from accredited nursing program and RN licensure in Idaho; Current BLS, ACLS, NRP, BBNC and STABLE certifications as required.
• Clinical experience in postpartum nursing is required.

Responsibilities

• Promotes the postpartum department and its services within the hospital's mission.
• Coordinates and integrates services within and across departments.
• Develops and updates policies and procedures to guide care.
• Facilitates orientation, in-service education, and continuing education.
• Mentors staff and provides ongoing feedback and coaching.
• Meets with orientees regularly to monitor progress.
• Demonstrates judgment and problem-solving to ensure high-quality care.
• Maintains rapport with patients, families, physicians and staff.
