Job summary

University of Maryland Medical System Corporation is seeking a Nurse Educator for the unit level to provide leadership, education, and support to direct care staff and leaders in nursing and patient care services. The role focuses on orientation, competency programs, and ongoing professional development within an evolving clinical setting.

The position requires BSN and Maryland RN licensure with at least 2 years in Emergency Department, plus preferred graduate degree and professional development

Qualifications

• BSN from an accredited program and Maryland RN licensure (or eligible).
• 2+ years of Emergency Department experience required.
• Certification in Nursing Professional Development or specialty area preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead clinical orientation and align content with unit policies.
• Collaborate with managers to assign preceptors.
• Support competency programs meeting compliance and regulatory needs.
• Develop, implement and evaluate education programs and initiatives.
