Job summary

VALLEY MEDICAL CENTER is seeking a Clinical Nurse Specialist-Educator to lead nursing education across assigned units. You will promote professional development, coordinate orientation, and advance evidence-based practice within the Patient Care Services department.

The role requires a nursing degree, WA RN licensure, and several years of inpatient experience, with certifications in nursing professional development and clinical specialty preferred. Evening/weekend coverage may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in nursing required; Master's preferred.
• WA State RN license required.
• Minimum of three years' inpatient experience required.
• NPD certification preferred.
• Clinical specialty certification required.
• Current BLS/ALS training in area of specialty.

Responsibilities

• Promote nursing professional development and staff education.
• Collaborate with nursing leadership to assess learning needs and design curricula.
• Oversee orientation/onboarding and competency assessment for units.
• Disseminate evidence-based practice findings to care teams.
• Partner with PDE to design, implement and evaluate educational programs.
