Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer (Unarmed) at our Charlotte, NC technology location. You will perform unarmed patrols, monitor access, respond to alarms, and provide exceptional customer service while supporting site procedures.

The role emphasizes flexible scheduling via the Claim a Shift platform and requires 18+ (21+ for some roles), HS diploma or equivalent, and background check/drug screen compliance. Training and growth opportunities are offered.

Qualifications

• Experience with alarm panels is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Experience with access control and badge systems is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel at a technology, media, and telecommunications location while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures and policies.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the building, access points, parking areas, perimeter, and other assigned areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
• Monitor access activity, verify credentials as directed, and report irregularities, maintenance concerns, and security-related incidents through established communication channels.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following site procedures and contacting appropriate personnel and/or emergency responders when needed.
• Complete accurate daily activity reports, incident documentation, and patrol logs in accordance with Allied Universal and site requirements.
