Job summary

Allied Universal in Durham, NC is seeking a part-time Security Officer (Unarmed Alarm Response). You will monitor assigned areas, respond to alarms, and support access control while delivering courteous customer service.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Hold a guard card or license (preferred).
• CPR and First Aid certification preferred.
• Must be 18+ for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Background check required by law.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and vendors at a technology-focused location.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of building interiors, exteriors, and parking areas.
• Monitor access control points, alarms, and cameras; report irregularities per site procedures.
• Respond to incidents and alarms calmly; document observations and notify appropriate personnel.
• Maintain accurate logs and shift handoff information; support a professional environment.
