Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Part Time Unarmed Security Officer in Carleton, MI to patrol, deter incidents, and provide customer service at a technology and telecom site. The role supports a dynamic location with a driver badge audit requirement and a flexible schedule.

The position requires a valid driver’s license and a high school diploma, with opportunities to grow through training and internal mobility.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet.
• CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• A valid driver’s license required for driving positions.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and/or vendors at a technology, media, and telecommunications location by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of office areas, parking facilities, building perimeters, and other assigned areas to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as directed by site procedures, and report unusual activity or access-control issues to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established escalation and reporting procedures.
• Document patrols, incidents, observations, and completed security-related activities accurately and promptly in accordance with site requirements.
