Job summary

Catapult Learning is seeking a part-time Tutor to provide contracted instructional services in reading, math and writing for students at our partner schools in Baltimore, MD. This role offers 20 hours per week during the school day and opportunities for professional development.

You will diagnose learning needs, coordinate with school staff, and communicate progress to parents while delivering instruction with company materials and strategies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Teaching or tutoring experience preferred.
• Tutors must complete an FBI/BCI background check.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose learning skill deficits and deliver prescribed instructional methods.
• Consult with school personnel to coordinate services to students.
• Communicate student progress with parents and conferences as needed.
• Deliver instructional methods using company-provided materials and strategies.
• Develop and maintain individualized lesson plans.
• supervise students and ensure safety during sessions.
• Maintain student forms and files per regulations.
• Attend meetings and trainings with supervisors, teachers, and parents.
• Maintain inventory of educational materials and supplies.
