Job summary

Tube Specialties, Inc. in Tempe, AZ, is seeking an experienced Tool & Die Maker for a part-time role on our Tool Room team. This on-site position involves reading blueprints, machining precision parts, and applying CAD/CAM skills, including SolidWorks, to tooling and fixtures.

You will work 20-25 hours per week, with responsibilities spanning setup, measurement, inspection, and iterative design improvements, while maintaining high standards of quality and safety.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 3+ years as Tool Maker preferred.
• Prior press work experience required.
• CNC, CAM, Fadal and Milltronics experience preferred.
• CAD/CAM software knowledge preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and safety.

Responsibilities

• Read blueprints, sketches, and specs to plan tooling and dies.
• Set up and operate conventional and CNC tools to shape parts.
• Fit, assemble, and repair dies, jigs, gauges, and fixtures.
• Verify dimensions with calipers and micrometers.
• Run test cycles and inspect for defects; adjust as needed.
• Suggest design improvements using CAD software like SolidWorks.
