Job summary

Tube Specialties, Inc. in Tempe, AZ is hiring an experienced Tool & Die Maker to join our Tool Room team in aerospace manufacturing. This hands-on role requires reading blueprints, machining precision parts, and improving tooling using CAD software such as SolidWorks.

You will set up CNC and conventional machines, verify tolerances, and repair dies, jigs, and fixtures with a strong emphasis on quality and safety.

Qualifications

• Ability to read blueprints and specifications to plan tooling and dies.
• Experience reading/interpreting drawings and tolerances for precision parts.
• CAD/CAM software (SolidWorks) knowledge preferred.
• 3+ years as a Tool Maker; press work experience required.

Responsibilities

• Read blueprints, sketches, and specifications to plan and design tooling, dies, and assemblies.
• Set up and operate conventional and CNC machine tools to shape parts to precise dimensions.
• Fit, assemble, and repair dies, jigs, gauges, and fixtures using machine and hand tools.
• Verify dimensions and tolerances using calipers, micrometers, gauge blocks, and dial indicators.
• Run test cycles on completed tools and dies, inspect for defects, and make adjustments.
• Recommend design improvements to tooling and fixtures using CAD software such as SolidWorks.
