Job summary

Woodcraft Rangers is seeking an After-School Program Leader (Club Leader) to supervise a club of about 20 children and deliver engaging, developmentally appropriate activities. The role supports a positive learning environment after school hours at our San Gabriel locations.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, energetic, and collaborative, with experience in expanded learning programs, strong communication skills, and the ability to work 1:00 PM – 6:00 PM, Monday through Friday.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; an Associate's Degree in Child Development or related field preferred.
• Experience with K-12 students in academic, recreational, or youth development settings preferred.
• Ability to work effectively with children and youth.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Basic computer proficiency and willingness to learn new technologies.
• Must pass an assessment evaluating math, reading comprehension, and spelling skills.

Responsibilities

• Foster a safe and supportive environment for students.
• Plan and lead age-appropriate activities supporting whole-child development.
• Monitor attendance and participation.
• Build positive relationships with students, families, and staff.
• Collaborate with staff to plan culminating events.
• Ensure materials are requested on time and budgeted.
