Marcus Theatres in Cedar Rapids is seeking a Part Time Assistant Manager to lead daily theatre operations, coach staff, and ensure exceptional guest service in a fast-paced environment.

You will supervise scheduling, cash handling, and opening/closing procedures, while maintaining cleanliness and safety. This role offers flexible shifts and opportunities to transfer across properties within Marcus Theatres.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old with supervisory experience in a high-volume theatre, cinema, retail, or hospitality setting.
• Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Eager to learn new skills, tasks, and software to meet evolving industry demands.
• Flexible availability including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to obtain food handling licenses as required by local/state laws.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; business or marketing coursework preferred.

Responsabilités

• Lead daily theatre operations including staffing, scheduling, cash handling, and opening/closing procedures.
• Train, coach, and develop associates while fostering a positive and service-driven environment.
• Support a culture of cleanliness by following and reinforcing company standards. Take ownership of maintaining a clean, organized, and welcoming environment at all times.
• Manage inventory, order supplies, and monitor cleanliness, maintenance, and safety across all areas.
• Operate and troubleshoot projection and sound equipment, as well as POS and other theatre systems.
• Support hiring processes, orientation, and ongoing associate development.
• Ensure compliance with corporate policies, local laws, audit processes, and PCI regulations.
• Handle guest concerns with professionalism, ensuring positive service recovery and managing theatre communications.
• Analyze business trends to drive sales, optimize schedules, and support corporate initiatives.
