Capital Credit Union is seeking a part-time Teller in Wisconsin to assist members in person, drive-ups, or by telephone with cash transactions and account inquiries. The role emphasizes accuracy, courtesy, and a sales-oriented approach to promote available products and services.

You will balance cash, handle deposits and payments, and support branch operations. This position offers a flexible schedule and opportunities for cross-training within the branch.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write, and comprehend basic instructions and memos.
• Basic math and numerical operations for handling cash accurately.
• Knowledge of banking products and services to assist members.
• Ability to operate computer terminals and standard office equipment.
• Strong interpersonal skills to interact with a diverse member base.

Responsibilities

• Operate an online teller terminal to process transactions (deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, transfers, check cashing, coin processing).
• Process special member requests (account research, stop payments, direct deposit, ACH, payroll deduction, wire transfers, safe deposit boxes).
• Build financial relationships with members using a consultative approach and promote Credit Union products/services.
• Educate members about Home Banking and E-Services and cross-sell applicable products.
• Balance cash drawer daily and resolve discrepancies according to policy.
• Open or close the branch following procedures and policies.
• Perform miscellaneous duties (mail, night deposits, filing, updating accounts).
• May assist in training new employees and support other departments as needed.
