Job summary

New Jersey Institute of Technology (NJIT) seeks a Non-Credit Instructor for the Continued Learning Custom Training program. You will design and deliver customized, skills-based instruction aligned to client objectives and NJIT’s learning framework, then develop detailed course outlines and instructional materials for diverse engagements.

Instruction may be in person or virtual per client needs. Deliver engaging, project-based and inquiry-driven sessions; collaborate with NJIT staff and client

Qualifications

• Teaching or facilitation experience with adult learners or working professionals.
• Expertise in Excel, Office Suite, data analysis, automation systems, PLCs, maintenance operations, AI tools, or business systems.
• Experience with learning management systems and virtual conferencing platforms such as Zoom and Google Meet.
• Demonstrated skills in individual and group counseling techniques.
• Strong communication and facilitation skills in in-person and virtual environments.
• Relevant certifications, degrees, or substantial professional experience in the subject area.

Responsibilities

• Design and deliver customized, skills-based instruction aligned to client objectives and LDI’s learning framework.
• Develop course outlines, plans, and instructional materials for assigned engagements.
• Deliver instruction in person and/or virtually, based on client requirements.
• Use project-based, applied, and inquiry-driven teaching methods.
• Collaborate with LDI staff and client stakeholders to ensure high-quality delivery.
• Maintain clear and timely communication regarding scheduling, availability, and instructional needs.
