Job summary

Tecovas is seeking a Part-Time Team Lead to help grow a customer-centric store team in Birmingham, AL. You will develop a cohesive crew, manage store operations, and support the Store Manager in talent recruitment, training, and performance feedback.

This role emphasizes exceptional service, product knowledge, loss prevention, and adapting to an omni-channel environment. You’ll lift and stock, maintain visual standards, and ensure a premium in-store experience while earning competitive hourly

Qualifications

• 2+ years Retail Management experience.
• Must be available to work 15-20 hours per week.
• Exceptional leadership, selling, and customer service skills.
• Strong merchant skills and a history of delivering financial results.
• Proven record of hiring and developing great talent.
• Experienced in coaching, counseling & conflict resolution.
• Independent, proactive, results-driven work ethic.
• Utmost character, honesty, and transparency.

Responsibilities

• Supports the Store Manager in recruiting, hiring, and retaining top talent.
• Supports the Store Manager in creating and maintaining a succession strategy.
• Foster a culture of strong communication and teamwork to balance operational, visual and customer priorities.
• Administers performance appraisals, sets goals and conducts touch-bases with direct reports.
• Cultivates an environment of genuine customer connection.
• Acts as a brand ambassador reflecting company values.
• Delivers high-quality product services with attention to detail (branding, debossing, boot shaping) for premium customer experience.
• Understands an OMNI Channel business and uses tools to better service customers.
• Facilitates sharing of product knowledge and maintains stock-to-sales processes.
• Maintains store structure, floor plan and fixture usage.
• Ensures compliance with shipments, transfers and restock standards.
• Upholds Loss Prevention procedures.
