Job summary

Advocate Sherman Hospital in Illinois is seeking a Surgical Technologist to perform scrub duties, prepare sterile field, and assist physicians during procedures. This part-time position requires CPR certification and CST certification within 3 months.

Schedule is three shifts per week from 10:30 am to 7:00 pm with on-call responsibilities and rotating holiday call; 30-minute response time from initial call. Competitive pay range $28.55–$42.85 per hour, benefits eligible.

Qualifications

• CPR certified.
• Certified Surgical Technologist certification will be obtained by the employee within 3 months of employment.

Responsibilities

• Performs duties in the scrub role as assigned.
• Completely prepares sterile field in a timely manner; maintains the sterile field and boundaries prior to and during procedure.
• Assists the physician by sponging, suctioning, retracting, and cutting suture as required and instructed by the physician.
• Maintains a safe work environment according to regulatory agency standards.
• Maintains on-call availability.
