Qualifications

• Graduate of a surgical technologist program or 2 years of surgical scrub experience.
• Certified Surgical Technologist certification must be obtained within 3 months of employment.
• CPR certification required.

Responsibilities

• Performs duties in the scrub role as assigned.
• Maintains sterile field and prepares instruments and supplies.
• Assists physician by sponging, suctioning, retracting, and cutting sutures.
• Maintains patient safety and follows policy; participates in Time Out.
• Maintains on-call availability and assists in emergencies.
