Job summary

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited ORT program or graduation from a non-accredited surgical tech program within the past six months.
• Two years scrub tech experience in hospital/military surgical services within the last three years, or equivalent international training.
• Certification recommended within 1 year for those from accredited programs.

Responsibilities

• Maintain sterile field and operating room safety.
• Prepare OR and instruments for procedures; assist surgeon as needed.
• Care for sharps and fire safety procedures.
• Assist with sterile processing and room turnover after procedures.
• Ability to respond to emergencies and exercise sound judgment.
