Job summary

Prime Healthcare is seeking a Certified Operating Room Tech who will prepare sterile supplies and instruments for each procedure, maintain the sterile field, and pass supplies to the surgeon during surgeries. The role requires readiness to work in a fast-paced operating room and uphold strict aseptic standards.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent, ORT training or 3 years' surgical experience, and current Certified Surgical Technologist credential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent or related experience required for new hires.
• Graduate of an ORT training program or on the job training with a minimum of 3 years' experience.
• Current Certification as a Certified Surgical Technologist.
• Experience scrubbing minor and major procedures in generalized surgical specialties such as GYN, General and Plastics.
• Experience scrubbing in specialty areas (ortho, neuro, ENT, Uro, etc.).
• Current BLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current.

Responsibilities

• Prepare sterile supplies and instruments for each assigned procedure.
• Maintain sterile field during the case and assist surgeon with supplies as needed.
• Provide surgeon with sterile supplies and instruments during assigned procedures.
