Job summary

Intermountain Health Primary Children's Hospital is seeking a Surgical Technologist to support the surgical team. The role involves maintaining a sterile field, preparing the OR and instruments, and assisting surgeons during procedures under supervision.

Qualified candidates should have BLS, ORT program completion, and national certification; on-call duties and rotating shift patterns apply. This is a full-time position at our Salt Lake City location.

Qualifications

• BLS certification for healthcare providers.
• Completion of an accredited Operating Room Technician (ORT) program or graduation from a non-accredited program within the past six months.
• Certification as OR Tech preferred; certification required within specified timeframe after hire.

Responsibilities

• Maintain sterile field and a safe operating room environment.
• Prepare operating room and instruments for procedures.
• Assist surgeon during procedures while staying within ORT scope.
• Assist with sterile processing as needed.
• Support with room turnover and setup for next case.
• Be available for on-call as required.
