Job summary

LifeWise Academy is seeking substitute teachers who demonstrate excellence in Biblical knowledge and teaching abilities. The ideal candidate will be an active church participant with strong communication and interpersonal skills and a caring, perceptive approach with students.

As a part-time substitute, you will complete training, deliver LifeWise lessons on an as-needed basis, and maintain a safe, engaging classroom in compliance with LifeWise policies.

Qualifications

• Must have mature Christian faith aligned with LifeWise beliefs.
• Active participation in a local church whose doctrine aligns with LifeWise beliefs.

Responsibilities

• Complete substitute teacher training
• Teach LifeWise classes on an as-needed basis
• Implement lesson plans using LifeWise curriculum provided by the teacher
• Maintain a safe, organized and stimulating classroom environment following LifeWise policies and procedures
• Follow the program's student discipline policy
• Maintain attendance in each class and provide attendance records
• Maintain a clean, attractive and well-ordered classroom
• Know procedures for emergency situations
• Act as a LifeWise Academy ambassador within the community
• Communicate lesson plans with volunteers before class and assign duties
• Communicate with the teacher
