Job summary

LifeWise Academy is seeking a part-time substitute teacher to demonstrate excellence in Biblical knowledge and teaching abilities. The ideal candidate is an active church participant with strong communication skills and a caring, perceptive approach to guiding students.

Responsibilities include completing substitute teacher training, teaching LifeWise classes as needed, implementing provided lesson plans, maintaining a safe and orderly classroom, and coordinating with volunteers and the teacher.

Qualifications

• A mature personal Christian faith in agreement with the What We Believe section of LifeWise Academy Statement of Faith
• Active participation in and commitment to a local church whose doctrine aligns with the LifeWise Academy Statement of Faith

Responsibilities

• Complete substitute teacher training
• Teach LifeWise classes on an as-needed basis
• Implement the LifeWise curriculum and lesson plans
• Maintain a safe, organized and stimulating classroom following LifeWise policies
• Follow the program's student discipline policy
• Take attendance and provide records
• Maintain a clean, attractive and well-ordered classroom
• Communicate lesson plans with volunteers and the teacher
• Act as LifeWise Academy ambassador within the community
