Job summary

Douglas County School District seeks a Substitute - Program Leader - BASE to supervise children in after-school programs at Clear Sky Elementary. The role requires ensuring safety, engaging with children, and guiding activities that promote learning and a sense of belonging.

The position is part-time, with duties including planning activities, maintaining positive behavior, and collaborating with staff. Must be 18+, high school graduate or equivalent, and eligible for required first aid/CPR

Qualifications

• Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age and able to work with children.
• Must have at least three months (455 hours) of verified experience in care and supervision of four or more children over age four, or possess a current early childhood credential level I version 3.0.

Responsibilities

• Ensures safety of children by providing sufficient and appropriate supervision and guidance at all times.
• Perform other related duties as assigned or requested.
• Builds healthy relationships with children by actively engaging with them and responding to their needs and interests.
• Plan and implement program activities that help children learn, develop skills, explore interests, and feel belonging and community.
• Utilize positive techniques to support behavior and promote respectful, cooperative interactions among children.
