Job summary

Douglas County School District is seeking a Substitute - Program Leader - BASE at Redstone Elementary. The role supports the Director and Assistant Director in supervising children across programs and activities.

Candidates must meet age and credential requirements and will handle safety, activity planning, and positive guidance in a dynamic school environment. The position is part-time, with duties including supervising students, coordinating activities, and promoting a welcoming community

Qualifications

• Must be at least eighteen (18) years old and able to work with children.
• Must have completed at least one of: (a) three months (455 hours) of verified care/supervision of four or more children aged 4+ who are not related; or (b) a current early childhood credential level I or higher (version 3.0).

Responsibilities

• Ensure safety and supervision of children at all times.
• Perform related duties as assigned.
• Build healthy relationships with children and respond to their needs and interests.
• Plan and implement activities to foster learning, development, belonging, and community involvement.
• Use positive discipline techniques to support respectful and cooperative behavior.
