Job summary

Union County Community Action, Inc. in Monroe, NC is seeking a Substitute Assistant Teacher (Part-Time) to support Head Start and Early Head Start classrooms. The role is on-demand, with a Monday–Friday schedule from 6:45am to 3:30pm.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• EDU 119 or CDA preferred.
• Experience working with young children preferred.

• Valid driver’s license required.
• Must pass a pre-employment physical, drug screening and TB test, and must submit to random drug screenings.

Physical Requirements

Must be able to actively supervise young children, move throughout classroom environments, and occasionally lift or move up to 50 pounds.
