Job summary

Union County Community Action, Inc. in Wadesboro, NC is seeking a Substitute Assistant Teacher for Head Start and Early Head Start classrooms.

This on-demand, part-time role runs Monday–Friday 6:45am-3:30pm, with daily responsibilities helping teachers and supporting children's learning. You will assist with classroom activities, monitor safety, help with meals, and maintain a clean, organized environment while building positive relationships with children and families in the community.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• EDU 119 or CDA preferred.
• Experience working with young children preferred.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Must pass pre-employment physical, drug screening and TB test, and random drug screenings.

Physical Requirements
