Job summary

Union County Community Action, Inc. is seeking a dependable Classroom Aide to assist teachers in Head Start and Early Head Start classrooms in Monroe, NC. You will help with daily activities, supervise children, and support family engagement as part of a collaborative education team.

The starting rate is $14 per hour. Schedule is Monday–Friday, 6:45am-2:45pm or 7:30am-3:30pm, totaling 40 hours per week. Benefits include health, dental, and vision insurance, life and disability coverage, a 401(k)

Qualifications

• Requires a High School Diploma or GED; CDA/EDU119 preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification required or obtainable.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills are essential.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Pre-employment physical, drug screen and TB test; random drug screens may occur.

• Assist teachers with classroom activities and supervision.
• Support children's developmental and educational needs.
• Help maintain classroom records and documentation.
• Assist with classroom organization and cleanliness.
• Supervise children during classroom and outdoor activities.

Start or grow your early childhood career while helping children feel safe, supported, and ready to learn. UCCA is seeking a dependable Classroom Aide to assist teachers in Head Start and Early Head Start classrooms.
