Union County Community Action, Inc. in Monroe, NC is seeking a dependable Classroom Aide to assist teachers in Head Start and Early Head Start classrooms. You will support daily activities, supervise children, help with classroom organization and family engagement in a collaborative education team.

The starting rate is $14 per hour. Schedule: Monday–Friday 6:45am-2:45pm or 7:30am-3:30pm (40 hours/week). This role offers growth opportunities and benefits through UCCA.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• EDU 119 or CDA Credential preferred.
• Experience working with young children preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification required or ability to obtain.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Must pass pre-employment physical, drug screen, TB test; random screenings may be required.

Physical Demands
