Job summary

University of the Incarnate Word is seeking a Student Technician for Sports and Wellness. The role covers maintenance of equipment and facilities across the Wellness Center, Natatorium, and Fencing Center, plus daily cleaning duties.

You will report to the Assistant Director of Sports and Wellness and join a pool of applicants for ongoing hires through the academic year. Open to UIW students, the position is part-time with a $12/hour wage, requiring CPR and First Aid certification and the

Qualifications

• Current full-time student at the University of the Incarnate Word.
• Current CPR and First Aid Certification.
• UIW student status is required for this position.

Responsibilities

• Complete scheduled walkthrough as assigned by the Director and Assistant Director of Sports and Wellness.
• Reports any repairs needed to the technician supervisor and assists with repairs and maintenance (outsourced and in-house).
• Maintain a high level of cleanliness in all fitness areas during shift, including floors, equipment, and dressing rooms.
• Keep equipment in assigned area safe, orderly, and sanitary; report needed repairs; maintain weight equipment for efficient operation.
• Organize and clean equipment and conduct preventative maintenance.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
