Job summary

OSU Oregon State University is seeking two student Events Specialists to support the College of Business, Marketing, Communications and Events. These roles assist with planning, execution, RSVP management, and vendor coordination for 150+ events annually, with pay of $16.55/hour and a 24-hour weekly cap.

Under supervision of the Director of Events, you will help with on-site setup, data tracking, and customer service. Strong MS Office and communication skills are expected from enrolled students.

Qualifications

• Must be academically enrolled in a high school, community college, or university and pursuing a program or course of study.
• Must meet Academic Standing Requirements; students on academic suspension are not eligible for employment.
• Must meet the applicable minimal enrollment standard.
• Ability to take initiative and work independently.

Responsibilities

• Assist with all elements of event management from planning to day-of execution for in-person and virtual events.
• Attend meetings and take notes; manage RSVP tracking using Excel, Qualtrics, SharePoint, and Zoom.
• Coordinate with external vendors for catering, equipment and space rentals; maintain inventory.
• Set up marketing and event displays and handle data management and analytics.
• Provide on-site customer service during events and perform other duties as needed.
