Job summary

LifeWise Academy seeks a dependable LifeWise vehicle driver to transport school students to and from LifeWise sites. You will be responsible, punctual, and maintain a clean bus while following safety rules.

Requirements include a regular driver’s license, a clean driving record, ability to pass a background check and drug/alcohol testing, and, where applicable, CDL with passenger endorsement. Part-time, non-exempt position with classroom volunteering potential.

Qualifications

• Clean driving record with no at-fault accidents or citations in 5 years.
• Regular driver’s license; CDL with passenger endorsement if vehicle seats >15.
• Must pass a background check through LifeWise Academy.
• Drug and/or alcohol testing required for pre-employment and ongoing checks.

Responsibilities

• Transport children and LifeWise volunteers to and from LifeWise site.
• Obey traffic laws and drive safely at all times.
• Maintain cleanliness and mechanical safety of the bus; report issues.
• Perform regular bus inspections and refuel as needed.
• Create and maintain a safe environment for children; enforce safety rules.
• Volunteer in the LifeWise classroom if approved by the Director.
