Job summary

Dollar Tree is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to help oversee daily store operations, customer service, and team development. You will assist with merchandising, opening/closing duties, and ensuring a clean, safe, and welcoming shopping environment.

The role emphasizes leadership, training Store Associates, handling payroll and scheduling basics, and maintaining store standards while delivering friendly service to customers and supporting store leadership.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; ability to read and interpret directives.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical tasks including walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, and repetitive lifting.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with day-to-day store activities and operations.
• Support Store Manager in training and developing Store Associates.
• Provide friendly customer service and address questions or concerns.
• Maintain store cleanliness, merchandise flow, and safety procedures.
• Assist with payroll, scheduling, and cash handling as needed.
• Protect store assets and support loss prevention efforts.
