Job summary

Dollar Tree, Inc. is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service, and team development. You will help supervise day-to-day tasks, ensure a welcoming checkout experience, and uphold company standards on inventory and safety.

This role requires the ability to lift up to 55 lbs, read and interpret directives, and communicate effectively with customers and teammates. You will assist in merchandising, scheduling, training, and maintaining a clean, organized store

Qualifications

• Experience in store management or supervisory roles in retail environments.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to read and interpret operational directives (e.g., schematics).
• Capable of lifting up to 55 lbs and performing physical duties as needed.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Organize and transfer merchandise from delivery truck to stockroom to sales floor and maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives and communications related to store activities.
• Maintain store fixtures, displays, and promotional effectiveness.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, payroll, scheduling, and cash handling; support loss prevention.
• Maintain a clean, well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom per company standards.
• Protect and secure store assets, including cash; ensure policies and safety guidelines are followed.
• Help supervise, train, and develop Store Associates; maintain a positive, safe, respectful environment.
