Job summary

Dollar Tree is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service, and team development. You will assist with day-to-day activities, help customers, organize merchandise, and help supervise store associates.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, retail management experience preferred, and the ability to lift up to 55 lbs. You will uphold policies, ensure a safe environment, and contribute to a positive shopping experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred; ability to read, interpret, and explain operational directives is required.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment is preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs. and meet demands of frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills are required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment is required.
• Exceptional customer service, organizational, and communication skills are required.
• Strong problem solving and decision-making skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom to sales floor and maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives and maintain records related to store activities.
• Maintain store fixtures and displays and protect assets, including store cash.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, and loss prevention.
• Keep the store and stockroom well-stocked and organized to company standards.
• Adhere to safety guidelines and store policies; supervise and train store associates.
